Tones And I co-hosts Nova 91.9 Brekky with Ben & Liam

Ben & Liam‘s return to their hometown of Adelaide this year has seen the pair bring the same energy they exuded over three years at triple j to Nova 91.9 Breakfast.

With triple j being a music-heavy station, they developed relationships with plenty of musos, and one such friend, Tones And I, dropped by the Nova Adelaide studios on Monday.

“She’s the biggest export we have here in Australia at the moment,” said Ben.

“The most streams on the globe last year… she went from a busker to a global star,” said Liam.

Tones reminisced about first meeting the boys at Splendour In The Grass, and thanking them for playing her music.

Tones then exclusively guest co-hosted an hour of the show with Ben & Liam, chatting about topics including her time spent with Elton John when she appeared on his Rocket Hour radio program.

She spent time spruiking the talents of fellow Aussie Adrian Eagle, who Elton apparently loved.

“Now he’s talking about Adrian Eagle on the show, he loved it,” she said.
