triple j’s Liam Stapleton disguised himself to meet Arctic Monkeys

Liam Stapleton‘s job on triple j Breakfast means he gets to interview and meet some of the biggest stars in music.

But when UK rockers Arctic Monkeys were locked in for a chat with Drive hosts Veronica & Lewis, Liam had to think creatively.

A big fan of the band, he disguised himself as a producer and hung around for most of the day so he could get a snap with Alex Turner and the band.

“I wasn’t interviewing them and I didn’t wanna seem like a fan boy,” he told Pedestrian.

“Logical conclusion, wear a cheap headset, hold a notepad, look important. Foolproof plan, it worked like a treat.”

“I don’t think they suspected a thing.”
