Triple M reveals first international muso for live stream session

Staff Writer

Triple M music royalty Rob Thomas will be the first international guest to grace the Triple M Garage Session live-streaming stage when he performs exclusively for listeners.

Last month the tactic entered homes across Australia with Aussie band Something For Kate.

Once again, listeners will have the chance to claim an exclusive seat with a live and intimate music experience and Q & A with Rob Thomas hosted by Chris ‘Becko’ Beckhouse.

“I’m really excited to say I’ll be performing another Garage Session from my home for you really soon,” said Thomas. “Get your questions ready and I’ll see you there!”

The American singer-songwriter and lead singer of rock band Matchbox Twenty is much loved by Australian and Triple M audiences and toured Australia at the end of 2019.

Triple M head of music, Mickey Maher, said Thomas is a “good friend” of Triple M.

“We love connecting our listeners with great live music, and at a time when we can’t do that in person, the next best thing is taking the artists into the listener’s homes virtually.

Listeners can win access by listening to Kennedy Molloy on drive. The network is yet to announce a date for the gig but confirmed it will happen “at the end of this month”.
