Triple M Rocks Tom & Olly with new night show

Triple M has announced a new three-hour night show with comedy duo Tom & Olly.

Broadcasting into Sydney and Melbourne, Tom & Olly are known for their live sketches and have already performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The boys cut their radio teeth hosting breakfast on Star FM Albury-Wodonga, and couldn’t be more pumped to join the Triple M airwaves.

“If I had a Tinder bio it would basically read, ‘Rock. Sport. Comedy’, so yes, it just feels right making Triple M home,” Olly said.

Tom commented, “I feel like hiring me for Triple M was a mistake…I still think Buddy plays for Hawthorn… but hey I’m going to run with it for as long as possible!” Talking to Radio Today, Triple M’s head of content Mike ‘Fitzy’  Fitzpatrick said the network was initially challenged by what to do with the boys as neither of them had played Footy or been on a reality tv show.

“But given Tom or Olly are just talented guys we decided to roll the dice. It’s actually exciting to be able to promote some talent from our regional network to Triple M nights,” he said.

“Maybe if they try extra hard they can make the next series of Married at First Sight or get drafted to Essendon.”

During their Albury-Wodonga stint, Tom & Olly hit up visiting CEO Grant Blackley for more prize money after feeling the budget was a bit light. Watch the video here.
