Was Ben the last man standing in Brisbane?

Interesting moves at 4BC in Brisbane. We notice that Ben Fordham has popped up on the 4BC website with a re-branded “East Coast Live”.

In Brisbane Ben Davis was the last man standing on local Drive for the station after MRN moved in last year, slashing all the local talent with networked programming mainly from 2GB in Sydney. Drive was the only local shift left, however yesterday 2GB’s Ben Fordham appeared along with a slight re-position as “East Coast Live”.

It’s a little unusual to flip a prominent show’s talent off the website, with no trace on Ben Davis at the same time.

A spokesperson for MRN confirmed that Ben Fordham’s appearance on 4BC was a “One off”.
