Xavier, Juelz & Pete complete marathon 27-hour broadcast

Hit92.9’s new Breakfast show were tasked with a big challenge last week, completing a 27-hour non-stop broadcast.

Xavier, Juelz & Pete wanted to show listeners the kind of fun they would be bringing to the show in 2020, so after going live at 6am Thursday, they went all the way through to 9am Friday.

I feel like an empty shell, but I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to broadcast for 27 hours straight with my two best friends, knowing we’re 27 hours stronger,” said Pete.

Over the 27-hour period, they Xavier dedicated a full day to Juelz’s tinder profile, eventually securing a candlelit dinner date later in the evening.

Xavier, Juelz & Pete all left the studio to broadcast from the Scarborough Sunset Markets with thousands of Perth’s beachgoers, and later into Claremont at midnight to shout kebabs to the nightclubbers heading home.

They were joined by a stacked lineup of guests too, including Birds of Toyko’s Ian Kenny; Perth Wild Cats captain, Damian Martin; West Coast Eagles captain, Luke Shuey; Fremantle Dockers’ Luke Ryan; Pete’s mum (with food!); two alpacas; and of course, Juelz’s Tinder date, Josh.
