How can you classify David Christopher as 'Hot new Talent'? he's been around for ages, and he's always been talented! but he isn't new.
sjp (10:18am 04 Apr 2012)
Is Ed Kavalee too long in the tooth now for "new FM talent"?

Great list! Great to see Dave Thornton, Dean Thomas, Sam Mac, and Will & Woody recognized. All are super talented, creative guys. I hope we see big things from all of them!
Pete Langard (6:36am 05 Apr 2012)
Kudos to Angus! I was in Toowoomba and loved his crazy calls, now in Townsville and still get to enjoy them. Much better then Paul Gale
Bianca Dye (8:51am 05 Apr 2012)
Sarah Levett worked with me at Nova 969 & she rocks!! so happy to see her on here :)
Sharon (8:55am 05 Apr 2012)
a past colleague of mine Andrew Reynolds is now with Hill FM breakfast.... I wish he could get some traction with metro stations, he's very radio, dare I say it, intelligent too.
Bar Rat (1:13pm 05 Apr 2012)
Angus is a champ - hard worker, has a vision and is always looking at ways to improve.

Some really great new talent there . And isn't it wonderful to see so many women on the list. Seven females to listen out for. Rock on girls !
Anonymous (4:29pm 05 Apr 2012)
Am I getting older or are these guys just getting younger ? Enjoyed your list Brad and d suggest that those on your Top 30 list had better watch out for these guys snapping at their heals. Good to see a refreshing list of new faces.
Alan (8:50pm 05 Apr 2012)
Excellent list again Brad
Sean Craig Murphy (4:06am 06 Apr 2012)
Great to see Ben Erbsland on there. He's a freakin superstar. Watch this space. SCM.

To put this list together would have taken Programmers and consultants quite a while in the past .Now all done for us right here on Radio Today. So thanks guys. To find talent of this calibre
listed here on the site is a bonus. Hope they all achieve great success in the future. If Brad says they will then Im sure they will .
Brad (12:22pm 06 Apr 2012)
Thanks for all your comments on The Next Generation Top 20. Theres lots of other names that could easily be on here too.
For all of you on the list and any other new talent reading this - Get the ' content ' right first and work on defining your ' role and character ' Then its up to you to market the hell out of yourself.
You are a politician. Kiss babies and shake hands. Eriks put it brilliantly in his social media article on Radio Today.
" No excuses -a presenter can no longer resort to blaming a poor survey result on their show not being promoted.
Your marketing is in your hands. You're paid to have 3-4 hours of airtime every day (which any consumer brand would die for) to build your own "content-community" of listeners,
Talk to them off-air daily, find out what makes them laugh, their interests, concerns, entertainment choices - feed back on-air. "Active" listeners will also influence their friends and build your network.
And you could make it on to Brad's Next Generation list :) "

Thanks Eriks and also thanks to Dan , Scott and Greg for their help putting this one together.

What a great list thanks Brad!
Extremely excited to see up and coming women on this list as well :-)
Radio is definately a package deal these days you need to be as good off air as you are on, and after looking/listening to some other recent posts from the Seafm team on the SC I see alot of potential in Angus O'Loughlin.
Haven't ever met the guy watching him interact with the girl "directione rs" in your recent posted video was fantastic! And then again he nailed the on-air and video aspect of the car drop and was extremely entertaining on both!
It also doesn't hurt he is very good looking if not a little young for me ;-)
Great top 20 of potential multi platform announcers
Tim (8:45pm 06 Jun 2012)
Finally catching up on some reading on Radio Today Thought this list of new talent was awesome Maybe you guys should do your own radio awards next year Great way to promote new talent Brad and give regional talent much needed exposure

Good to see Angus on your list Brad. And Dan from Adelaide too. Rising stars for sure.
Anonymous (5:04pm 07 Jun 2012)
Dan Debuf is comedy genius, very underrated!
Mike (9:40am 12 Jun 2012)
Dan's good but don't forget Maz Compton. love her.
AJ (11:07am 14 Jun 2012)
I Would Have Put Shayne Sinclair In That Top 30 Now Working At Nova Fm,& From The Years Gone By Sea, Hot Fm & Sa Fm

& Lui William Zacher Star Fm Griffith, New South Wales
Al (2:00pm 21 Jun 2012)
another name that should be on your list is Craig Annis from Adelaide. He's excellent.
Peter Stich (5:20am 25 Jun 2012)
Looks like ill give my tunein app a good run to listen in to all these rising stars!
Living in Brissy I turned on 91.9 seafm and got a listen to Angus. Guy runs a very tight ship in the brekkie show, nice voice, flow and energy plus i felt like he could.would be a mate.
Listened also to Banksy and Brad while on the road for work, very blokey show but very funny! Had some genuine belly laughs at the boys.
Will keep moving the dial around to keep listening :-)

Good to see Canberra ignored again. 104.7 with 12 survey wins in a row as of today driven by Scotty and Nige in breakfast. Certainly not newcomers but as others have pointed out neither is or Ed :)
