Radio Legends reunite

Corey Kay is the Content Director of Triple M, Adelaide. Here he talks about why they got a bunch of radio legends back on the mic today, he reveals a pic of Craig Bruce, with hair ! 😉 and where the idea started…..

Friday drinks + a promotion falling over 3 days before it was meant to start =  let’s get some 80’s Adelaide Radio Fossils…errrr..Legends….to take over the M’s for the day.

In all seriousness I can’t remember who or how it came about- I just know everyone was passionate about bringing it to life. Big team effort.

For the week we’ve only rolled 80’s tunes, Hot Breakfast hosted an 80’s Party bringing back the great 80’s sport Ten Pin Bowling (even flew in Baby John Burgess- former Ten Pin Champion…true story!).

It just seemed a great way to cap the week by having Adelaide’s best known tonsils take over Triple M. The charter was to tell some yarns, get nostalgic about Adelaide (from the nightspots to the music). Who better to bring it to life than the guys who lived it.

Big thanks to CB (Craig Bruce), Jeff Allis, David Day, Andrew Peters & Greg Clarke. You’ve still got It boys, chuck you on the weekend roster any day !!

Hearing and seeing how much these radio men enjoyed being back on air was a great reminder of the amazing industry we’re in, the passion that goes with it & how blessed we are to be working in it.
