Peter Harvie joins Radio Hall of Fame

Director of Southern Cross Austereo and highly respected radio and media industry executive, Peter Harvie was inducted into the Commercial Radio Hall of Fame at the 26th Annual Australian Commercial Radio Awards last night in Melbourne.

Peter was honoured for his outstanding lifetime achievement and contribution to the radio broadcasting industry at a gala ceremony, attended by 1200 of his industry peers at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The 2014 ACRAs Winners

The 26th Annual Australian Commercial Radio Awards have been announced at a gala black tie affair at the Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre. 

Winners were announced in 34 categories, across news, talkback, sport and music; as the industry joined to celebrate their achievements.

WS FM’s Jonesy & Amanda, have won the Best On-Air Team (Metro FM). It is their second Best On-Air Team win.

Keeping it in the family, Executive producer of the show Laura Viglino won Best Show Producer (Entertainment/Music) and Jonesy and Amanda also took out Best Syndicated Program for their national weekly show, My Generation.

National Radio Conference -Starts Today

It has arrived, today it's the National Radio Conference and the ACRAs Saturday.

 

 

Nearly 600 delegates including CEOs, station owners, senior executives, station managers, programmers, music directors, sales and marketing executives, creative teams, engineering and human resources from radio stations across Australia are in Melbourne.

At RadioToday we will be at the Conference today and the ACRAs tomorrow night, keeping you in the loop.
