Why there wasn’t a dry eye at SAFM this morning

Staff Writer

This morning, SAFM held a live telethon for local Adelaide charity 'Kickstart for Kids'. Over the duration of the breakfast show they raised over $90,000.

Kickstart for Kids helps feed breakfast to children in Adelaide schools who aren’t getting it at home.

SAFM's ACD, and Michael, Hayley & Burgo's EP, Scott Menz says:

"Personally, this is the most touching emotive radio I’ve been involved in and there wasn’t one dry eye in the station this morning. On phone calls alone we raised just over $90,000 (checking to see if that’s an Adelaide radio telethon record – it’s gotta come close!) in only 3 hours. This will feed over 75 Adelaide schools for a year!"

Here's the montage they played on the show just before they revealed the final tally :-
