Gold Coast survey 1 released – Sea FM now #1

The first survey for 2013 on the Gold Coast has been released.

Sea FM have had a strong result, jumping from 3rd to 1st in the market, up 3.7 to 16.3%. The new breakfast lineup of Galey, Matt & Charli are also now the #1 breakfast show on the Gold Coast, up from 12.6% to 16.4%. The station also went up considerably in all shifts and all demo's.

SCA's sister station, Gold FM only went down 0.2 but move to 2nd in the market. Their breakfast show, Richard, Bridge and Spida, were down 0.5 and are #2 on 14.8%. Mornings are #1, up 2.0 to 18.3% and arvo's up 1.8. Drive and nights were down.

SCA Gold Coast GM Nick Scott, in his first result back in the chair, said:

"An outstanding result, testament to the hard working team at 90.9 Sea FM and 92.5 Gold FM to bring the two leading Gold Coast radio stations back to their rightful position of #1 and #2 in the market."

"A combined reach of almost 270,000 Gold Coast residents is a great result (unduplicated cume)."

In the other main result from this survey, Hot Tomato were down 0.7 and go from 14.7% to 14.0%, going from 2nd to 3rd. Breakfast with Holmesy & Flan was down 0.7 and they are now 3rd on 13.1%. Their workday was down with drive and nights slightly up on the previous survey. Hot Tomato mainly lost out with 18-24's, going from 16.0% to 8.6% (down 7.4) with 40-54's they remain #1 in the market, growing 4.3 (22.0% to 26.3%).

triple j remain 4th on the Gold Coast, steady on 8.9%.
