Ian Skippen joins 4BC

Staff Writer

Former Triple M and B105 breakfast host Ian Skippen will takeover from Peter Dick on 4BC breakfast until the end of 2013.

Anthony Frangi, GM of 4BC, says:

“4BC is replacing one strong announcer with another. When Peter announced his resignation, we needed a strong local talent to fill the position until Christmas."

Skippen will join Mary Collier on the breakfast show from Monday. Kim Mothershaw is also leaving the show to pursue other commitments.

“Over the past three months, our listeners have embraced Kim, due to his unique humour and ability to relate to the audience in a News Talk format,” says Frangi.

"Ian has a strong record in commercial media, and his story-telling and communication skills will mesh well with co-host Mary Collier’s style.”

This now gives 4BC a period of time to find a fulltime host for the breakfast show to start 2014. But, if all goes well, Skippen may just be back on Brisbane radio for good.
