The changes at ARN's Sydney stations continue with the 2014 lineup on WSFM being revealed, outlining changes in the majority of dayparts.

Group Content Director Duncan Campbell commented;

“Overall, we’re creating a more contemporary feel to WSFM. Our listeners love a bit of nostalgia but they also know that they are living the best parts of their lives right now. With Jonesy & Amanda as one of the country’s finest on-air teams starring in breakfast, we’re now also moving forward with our listeners and are excited to refresh the new year with them”,

As part of the changes, Rob Duckworth and Bill Weaver have left WSFM, the new  lineup for 2014 is:

Breakfast Jonesy & Amanda

Mornings

(9-12)

Ron E Sparks

Afternoons

(12-3)

Jason Staveley

Drive

(3-6)

Lars Peterson
6-7

"Jonesy & Amanda Encore"

(broadcast on WSFM and Gold FM Melbourne)

7-11 Richard Mercer

Jason Staveley will join WSFM on afternoons after returning from the UK where he was programming and hosting a Breakfast show; he is familiar with the Sydney market having hosted drive on 95.3 during the Vega years.

Lars Peterson moves from Mix 106.5 to host Drive on WSFM, and whilst new to WS has been in the Sydney market for ten years.

And Richard "The Love God" Mercer moves from 106.5 after 17 years to host a new nights show on WSFM, the  'love songs and dedications' brand will not be part of the move.

Speaking of the departing WSFM presenters, Duncan Campbell commented;

“These day-time changes do mean that Bill Weaver and Rob Duckworth will be leaving the station. They’re both great people and excellent presenters and we’re grateful for their support over the last couple of years”.

And of Richard Mercer's move to WSFM Campbell said;

“Richard’s program has been one of the most voyeuristic and addictive shows on radio. We’re going to be bringing an all new show to WSFM in 2014 and we’re looking forward to telling fans more about this in the new year."

He went on to say of the ARN changes more broadly;

“2014 is going to be a huge year for ARN. Like Kyle & Jackie O, Sydney-siders will be switching to the all-new KIIS 1065. And we feel that the loyal listeners of WSFM will love the refresh of their favourite station, and will no doubt bring across many new fans too.

We’re passionate about entertaining Sydney and we look forward to connecting in the new year”.

The new lineup on WSFM will be on-air prior to the start of the first survey.
