2NM help raise $30,000 for local farmers

2NM in the Hunter Valley helped raise $30,000 for local farmers battling the drought.

For the month of March the station supported 'Buy a Bale', an initiative helping save Australia’s farmers as they face one of the toughest droughts of the decade.

Thousands have been getting behind the campaign with truckies even donating their time to take the Bales of Hay out to the farmers.

Stolzy, from the 2NM breakfast show, said: "Lovely elderly ladies were coming in to give their $20 out of their pensions, and the miners really got behind the campaign as well."

2NM's Stephen Cenatiempo also did an OB from CMC Rocks the Hunter to help with the initiative.
