Mediaworks hunts for new CEO

Staff Writer

Mediaworks in New Zealand is searching for a new Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Sussan Turner late last week.

Turner had been the Group CEO of Mediaworks Radio and Television operations for the past four years, and had been with the company for 30 years.

She resigned saying that it was time to move on now that she had steered the business through the challenge of receivership, and that it was time to focus on her family;

"My family is looking forward to reacquainting themselves with their mother and wife".

The Chairman of Mediaworks, Australian Rod McGeoch, would not comment on who Turner's replacement would be aside from to confirm that a search was underway.

The current head of Mediaworks television business Paul Maher (left) is regarded as a warm favourite for the head of the Mediaworks group.

Sussan Turner will leave Mediaworks in August.
