Sunshine Coast Survey Released

Results from the first radio industry audience measurement survey in 10 years for Queensland’s Sunshine Coast have been released.

The survey shows that 92.7 MIX FM  is the number 1 most listened to station with a 19.2% share 10+; stablemate SEA FM is number 2 with 15.2% and triplej has recorded a 10.9% share to take third place.

And bringing up the rear, in terms of local stations, are Hot91 on 8.5% and ABC Sunshine Coast on 8.2%.

MIX FM dominates breakfast with 20%, SEA FM 14.4%, triple j 10.3%, ABC Sunshine Coast 8.7% and Hot91 in last place on 8.4%. EON Broadcasting’s MIX FM dominates all dayparts with the exception of nights, which goes to triple j.

The Sunshine Coast is a competitive market with significant overlap from Brisbane stations which can be clearly heard across a large part of the market.

Grant Broadcaster’s Hot91, EON Broadcasting’s Sea FM 91.9 and MIX FM 92.7, and the ABC, commissioned Xtra Research to carry out the survey, which involved 1000 respondents and was held from May 4 to 24.
