New 6pm show for Today Network

With Kyle & Jackie O's Hour of Power now airing from 7pm to 7.30pm (the 'half hour of power' ?), the Today Network have announced a new show to air at 6pm.

'Mamamia Today' will start next week with hosts Em Rusciano (ex 92.9 breakfast), comedian Dave Thornton (ex Nova weekend show) and Mamamia.com.au founder, Mia Freedman.

Mamamia is a website where "everything is up for discussion – from pop culture, politics, body image, food, motherhood, feminism to fashion and celebrity" (see here).

Being a popular site for females under 40, the synergies between the sites audience and the Today Networks are obvious.

Dave Cameron, Head of Today Network for SCA said...

Mamamia.com.au has an amazing engagement level with its online community, and the radio show “Mamamia Today” will bring that same compelling interactive content to life on air for Today Network listener.”

We got in touch with Dave to ask what then happens to 'The Dirt' that was in the 7pm - 7.30pm slot hosted by Charli Robinson. He told Radio Today it will now be a Sunday night show with 2 additional mini-segments added into each day.

Is it just me, or is SCA just backing away from anything controversial right now? What next, the Woman's Day morning show? They're officially spooked!

This show sounds great. Just wondering will this be on SCA regional today stations and non - SCA affiliates that take SCA programming like Power Fm or just on metro today stations

Kyle and Jackie haven't been on at 6pm for months now it has been at 7pm for a while now.
