91.7 The Wave finds new on-air duo in Gunners & Ali

In the run-up to its launch date in October, 91.7 The Wave has picked up a new on-air duo in the form of former 97.3 Coast FM presenters Gunner and Ali.

Listeners can tune into the show from 6am to 10am every weekday from October 1.

“It’s not every day you get the opportunity to develop a prime-time shift from the ground up. The Wave has given us this opportunity and I’m really looking forward to the challenge,” Gunners said.

Ali is similarly stoked with the move to the new FM station.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of creating the sound of a new station right from the very start. We’ve had so much fun listening to all the songs we’re going to play, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it,” Ali said.

West Coast Radio announced last week that the new station will be the next incarnation of the network’s current AM station 1116 6MM, moving the station onto the FM band.

91.7 The Wave is set to reflect the “great West Aussie lifestyle” with superior sound and reach on FM.
