What meal would you eat for the rest of your life? Acast launches podcast to find out

A new culinary podcast aimed at Australian foodies has launched today via Acast.

Titled DISH!, the podcast sees Australian media personalities Tegan Higginbotham and Paul Verhoeven team up with a number of food-obsessed guests to pose them the ultimate question: If you were stranded on a desert island and you only had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Higginbotham is a writer and comedian and has appeared on programs including The Project, Whovians and Have You Been Paying Attention?

Verhoeven, emanwhile, is an author and broadcaster, fronting the Loose Units podcast on the back of his successful book of the same name. He’s also appeared as a presenter on triple j Breakfast.

In each episode, Higginbotham, Verhoeven and their guests will converse about all things food from stories and gossip to culinary secrets.

The first season’s guests include award-winning reporter Osman Faruqi, Australian drag performer Maxi Shield and American actress Yvette Nicole.

Appearing on DISH!’s first episode is Bachelorette star Georgia Love, with the trio discussing the etiquette of eating on a first date, catering for weddings and more.

You can listen to the first episode below.

My meal that would be my only allowed meal- nice toasted sourdough with Jarlesberg cheese melted in, topped with avocado , sautéed mushrooms, bacon and a couple of fried eggs. Side serve if Chinese spinach Or bok chit.A fruit salad with a large mix of fruits , spiked with gin, port and amaretto. The fruit salad has a couple of squares of finely shaved chocolate or peppermint crisp.
