Angie Kent joins NOVA Entertainment with Angie Tries It podcast

Angie Kent is the latest former reality star to be picked up by NOVA Entertainment, with the launch of her Angie Tries It podcast.

The former star of Gogglebox, The Bachelorette Australia, Dancing With The Stars and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here joins other reality TV alumni on the NOVA Entertainment Podcast Network including Abbie Chatfield, who hosts It’s A Lot and recent recruit Charlotte Crosby, who helms Values & Vibrators.

Angie Tries It launches next Tuesday and will feature Kent braving “the most alternative, hilarious and sometimes straight-up bizarre wellness therapies” – from exposure therapy and laughter yoga to past-life regression and BDSM.

NOVA said the podcast was about Kent taking steps to discover more about herself and will feature her “cheeky, quirky perspective and endearing personality”.

“For this show, we needed someone who was completely open minded and willing to jump head first into any situation without judgement – and that’s Angie Kent to a T,” said NOVA Entertainment’s head of podcasts and digital content, Rachel Corbett.

Kent said fronting the podcast was like coming full circle in here media career.

“What a complete round trip. I did an internship with Fitzy & Wippa in 2013. The boys sent me around Australia to do the most insane activities and now I have my very own podcast with NOVA,” she said. “I went from crackin’ whips to now givin’ tips. Sister loves to talk, loves to listen and loves me some therapies. So stoked to be part of the NOVA fam for Angie Tries It. I’m back, more awkward and vulnerable than ever.”
