Ben & Liam surprise triple j Unearthed High winner

triple j‘s search for Australia’s best high school-aged musician is over for another year, with Ben & Liam surprising the winner of Unearthed High for 2019.

The Breakfast hosts headed to South Australia, dropping by Faith Lutheran College to surprise the winner; year 11 student George Alice.

On school photo day, Ben & Liam dressed in full school uniform to blend in with the crowd.

Just as George was having her individual photo taken, the boys popped out from behind the curtain for the heartfelt moment.

Last year’s winner KIAN went on to crack commercial radio with his single ‘Waiting’, so we’ll be keeping an eye on George Alice to see if she can replicate the success story.
