Daniel Brewer to take over 4BU Breakfast in Bundaberg

4BU in Bundaberg is set to have a new Breakfast host, with Daniel Brewer moving into the hot seat.

Brewer is currently the content director at GOLD Central Victoria, which along with 4BU is also part of the Grant Broadcasters network.

In 2015, Brewer won the Best Direct Sales Person (Country) at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) for his work with Grant Broadcasters’ Easy Mix 1467AM in Mildura.

He said he’s honoured to be joining the 4BU team.

Bundaberg’s classic hits station, 4BU, has undergone a number of changes recently.

Its former content director, Mark Hamel, stepped back, with Grant Broadcasters telling Radio Today this would enable him to focus on presenting 4BU Breakfast.

The company then made some significant content director hires, including Billy McFerran who took on Hitz 939 and 4BU in Bundaberg.

McFerran has been SCA’s content director in Shepparton as well as CD for NEW FM and 2HD in Newcastle. He moved across to Grant Broadcasters from ACE Radio where he was assistant group content and music director.

Radio Today has asked Grant Broadcasters about Hamel’s role once Brewer moves into the Breakfast slot, and has approached both Brewer and Grant Broadcasters for further comment.
