Former triple j presenter Dylan Alcott joins Hit Network Weekend Breakfast

Former Assistant Editor

Paralympic gold medalist and radio host Dylan Alcott is joining the Hit Network.

Dylan spent the last two years on triple j, working as a regular guest and sports presenter on Breakfast with Ben and Liam, and on Weekend Arvos. Now Dylan joins Weekend Breakfast with Tanya Hennessy and Angus O’Loughlin.

As well as his athletic achievements, including winning medals representing Australia in basketball and tennis, and winning multiple tennis slams, Dylan founded his own charity to help Aussies living with a disability to realise their dreams, and also co-hosts ABC TV show The Set.

“I am really excited to be joining the SCA and Hit Network family,” Dylan said.

“I am incredibly passionate about being able to use the medium of radio to reach out to and have fun with a broad range of Australians.

“It’s a personal and engaging medium and I love it! I see this move to the Hit Network as a great opportunity to work with two outstanding talents in Tanya and Angus and can’t wait to get on air with the team following my 2019 Australian Open tennis campaign.”

Tanya Hennessy returns to the show after winning the ACRA for Best Entertainment Presenter in 2018. She also wrote and released her first book Am I Doing This Right?.

The Hit Network also confirmed news that Tanya herself revealed last November, that former Hit107 Breakfast and National Nights host Angus O’Loughlin will also join the show.

Angus will continue to host the Trending 20 music count down with Ash London on Saturday nights.

“I’ve been keen to get Dylan in the Hit family for some time now – finally he said yes!” revealed Hit Network head of content Gemma Fordham.

“Dylan is a sensational broadcaster and all-round brilliant guy. I’m really excited about this show and I believe Australia will love waking up with Dylan, Tanya and Angus every weekend.”

Weekend Breakfast with Dylan, Tanya and Angus will be heard 7am-9am across the Hit Network.
