SENZ recruits Greg Murphy for new motorsports show Race Control

New Zealand motorsports legend Greg Murphy has joined SENZ to help launch its all-new motorsports show Race Control.

The four-time Bathurst 1000 winner will join broadcaster Stephen McIvor to kick off the new program on Thursday September 16, offering all the latest news, insights and opinions into the motorsports industry.

The show will air 7pm – 9pm weekly across all 28 SENZ stations and again on Sunday mornings between 9am – 10am, with both programs being available to listen to on the SENZ app.

Expressing his excitement towards the launch of the new show, Murphy said that Race Control would help bring more attention to motorsports both in New Zealand and around the world.

“We have a disproportionate number of drivers doing amazing things professionally around the world too, which is something we should all be very proud of, so I can’t wait to launch Race Control on SENZ and talk all things Motorsport with my mate and Super Broadcaster Stephen McIvor,” Murphy remarked.

McIvor voiced a similar sentiment to that of his co-host and said he was ecstatic to rejoin his former Sky Racing colleague for the show.

“Motorsport people are like any people who love their sport. Passionate, caring and always wanting the best,” McIvor said.

“After working for eight years on Sky Speed alongside Greg Murphy, I have greater respect for what is needed for success in the world of motorsport and the chance to share and introduce that world to folk on Race Control on SENZ has got me pumped.

“Have no fear, Murph and I are going to have fun and want you to be a part of it.”
