Triple M’s Jess Eva revealed as the ‘radio star’ on 10’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here
Triple M Sydney’s Jess Eva has joined the 2021 cast of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
The Channel 10 show has been teasing this year’s competition will feature “a radio star”, and revealed it would be a female Breakfast host. Speculation has ranged from KIIS FM’s Jackie ‘O’ Henderson to WSFM’s Amanda Keller.
Eva currently appears on the Moonman in the Mornings show on Sydney’s Triple M alongside Lawrence Mooney.
Eva said her greatest fear was walking into a sea of blank faces who didn’t recognise her or know who she is.
“When they ask you to be on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here – why wouldn’t ya? It’s free camping,” she said.
“I’m Jess, nice to meet ya. You may have seen me from coming last in The Block 2018. I also do a Breakfast radio show in Sydney, and if you don’t know me from those two things, you might have seen me at Putney Bowls Club where I drink quite a few beers,” she said in her intro.
The show also features Ash Williams, who has been heard on the Hughesy & Kate show, and co-hosted the Ash and Ed podcast with Ed Kavalee. He currently features on the TEAM Effort podcast with Kavalee, Tony Martin and Mooney, and hosts The Ash Williams Show podcast.
The cast also includes former 2DayFM Breakfast host and TV star Grant Denyer, as well as former The Bachelor contestant Abbie Chatfield, who now hosts the It’s A Lot podcast.
There’s also Jack Vidgen, the winner of Australia’s Got Talent back in 2011, as well as Australian Idol’s Paulini Curuenavuli, and Tony Pearen, singer, actress and host.
AFL star Travis Varcoe was the final member of the cast to be revealed last night.
The show premiered to 1.013m metro viewers, which climbed to 1.385 million with the addition of regional viewers. It was the top program among the key advertising demographics of those aged 16 to 39, 18 to 49, and 25 to 54.
This was up on last year’s numbers of 980,000 metro viewers.
