Imogen Anthony reveals that ex-partner Kyle Sandilands gave her pointers for Big Brother appearance

Imogen Anthony makes her debut appearance on 2021’s season of Big Brother, with a few tips from her ex-boyfriend and KIIS host, Kyle Sandilands.

Imogen told The Daily Telegraph’s Binge TV guide that Kyle told her to stand her ground.

“He definitely gave me some pointers. We’re still sorting ourselves out in a way, but we’ll always be friends. And he told me to stand my ground and just be me,” said Anthony.

Sandilands and Anthony dated for 10 years and still have a friendly relationship.

Anthony, is making an appearance alongside an eclectic line-up of guests on the show, like Married at First Sight’s Jessika Power, and ex-Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, who are no strangers to controversy.

A fan of the show for years, Anthony has been watching since Big Brother debuted in 2001.

Ex Kyle Sandilands would have some solid wisdom to provide Anthony to give her a competitive edge after his past experience on the show.

Sandilands was a celebrity housemate in 2002, made a surprise guest appearance in 2003 and then co-hosted the show with long-time on-air partner, Jackie O in 2008.

“I’ve been wanting to do Big Brother because when I was younger it was my favourite show,” Anthony told The Binge TV guide.

“I think it was just the ridiculousness of those characters like Sara-Marie with her bum dance [in the first season in 2001].”

Despite it being Anthony’s favourite show when she was younger, in a recent video posted to social media she says that she swore she would never have appeared on reality TV.

“All my years of saying I’d never do a reality show and then next minute I go and do a reality show and I bare my entire life,” said Anthony.

“I’m pretty sure I was the cry-baby on there as well, but you just have to live with that.”

Sharing some insight in what to expect from her on the show, Anthony hints at some emotional turbulence on her behalf.

“Big brother was a wild ride. It was everything I didn’t expect it to be and more,” said Anthony.

“Don’t get me wrong I still scream at a lot of people. I screamed at big brother a fair bit, but we were good in the end.”

In recent weeks Imogen has shared pictures with a new unnamed love interest, sharing words of affection.

“My Silly Sagittarian. My Viking. Pirate. Wild Man. Merman. Beastie,” said Anthony.

Anthony’s new love interest has not yet had his grand face reveal.

Big Brother Australia 2021 is on Channel 7 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
