James Speed leaves Fox to become SCA’s Coastal NSW content director

Former Editor & Content Director

Fox FM’s assistant content director, James Speed, is moving to New South Wales to take on a newly created coastal role.

Speed will become group content director of Hit and Triple M across the Central Coast, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.

Speed will also continue to look after national Weekend Breakfast across the Hit Network.

The announcer and content director first joined the Hit Network and Triple M’s parent company Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) in 2012, as SAFM’s operations and social media manager. In mid 2013, he then became the assistant content director and an announcer at Perth’s Hit 92.9.

In 2017, he moved to Grant Broadcasters to become content director of K rock 95.5 in Geelong, however he returned to SCA in 2019 as assistant content director of Fox. In 2020, he was promoted to also take on the remit of content manager for the Hit Network across Victoria.

His new role begins on August 2.

On LinkedIn, Speed said he was very excited to be part of some excellent products and a great team.

Replacing him at Fox will be SCA stalwart, Tim Lee.
