Listen to Jase & Lauren’s first break on Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1
KIIS Melbourne’s new Breakfast show Jase & Lauren in the Morning made its debut this morning.
The show features Jase Hawkins – who used to host the slot alongside Polly ‘PJ’ Harding – as well as new recruit Lauren Phillips.
The extended lineup also includes newsreader Clint Stanaway, and regular appearances from comedian Nazeem Hussain and AFL player Christian Petracca.
The show kicked off with Hawkins, Phillips and Stanaway discussing Phillips’ first-day nerves, as well as the “parking situation” at the station.
Later in the program, Phillips said she was so grateful to have the opportunity to be on the show after a difficult 18 months in her personal life. She referenced her marriage breakdown, the loss of a close friend, and a series of events culminating in her feeling like she might have a nervous breakdown.
She said she was grateful to have come out the other side and said “getting this job has been the final cherry on top” of getting things back on track.

I think they’ll be syndicating Kyle and Jack pretty soon.
Sorry just will not work. New show for 2022 you can bet your house on it. Shame because PJ had potential. They could do ok in Perth or maybe Bris Vegas but not our beautiful Melbourne.
Well done guys! I think there’s a promising future. Let’s just hope they have the right support from management to keep it going!
I’ll give it another week but at the moment it isn’t working for me. Lauren doesn’t seem spontaneous enough or maybe silly enough. Pity it wasn’t Yvie I think that would have been a great pairing for Jase
