KIIS goes silent in support of R U OK? Day

ARN’s KIIS Network is going silence for 10 seconds every hour from 6am today in recognition of the mental health initiative R U OK? Day.

It is the second year the ARN stations have implemented the initiative. It rolled out across KIIS 106.5’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show, KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren, 97.3FM’s Robin, Terry & Bob, and Mix 102.3’s Erin & Soda this morning. In addition to the network’s Breakfast show stars, Drive’s Will & Woody will also voice reminders about the silence and its meaning throughout the day.

ARN said simple conversations sparked by asking if someone is really okay could be life changing.

In addition, ARN is offering all staff a day off of their choosing in September to give them the chance to recharge and look after their health and mental wellbeing.
