‘FM bad boy’ Kyle Sandilands, Brooklyn Ross & Ray Hadley praised by Media Watch for decreasing vaccine hesitancy

Former Editor & Content Director

The ABC’s Media Watch – usually renowned for calling out poor performance from Australia’s outlets – has highlighted the good work being done by some media personalities in reducing vaccine hesitancy.

Monday night’s episode noted the rapid reduction in vaccine hesitancy across the country and said “that’s thanks in part, we hope, to a more precise media message”.

Media Watch gave a shoutout to “FM bad boy” Kyle Sandilands as well as his KIIS 106.5 colleague Brooklyn Ross.

Sandilands was mentioned in particularly for his viral ‘Get Vaxxed Baby’ jingle, while Ross’ informative videos on the AstraZeneca jab were also highlighted.

What a delightfully Sydney-centric take on AZ coverage.

@Jamie – Last I checked, Brooklyn Ross reads the news on KIIS 106.5 in Sydney. One would assume that the bulk of his 13,500 Instagram followers are also in Sydney.

So I guess that means he’s catering to his audience – no?

Well done Brooklyn – and @Jamie I think you’ll find this detailed information Brooklyn has compiled is relevant outside of Sydney also.
