Michael McPhee becomes announcer and operations manager at Nova 96.9
Nova 96.9 in Sydney has a new operations manager and announcer.
Michael McPhee has moved into the role, coming across from NOVA Entertainment stablemate Star 104.5 on the Central Coast.
Previously, McPhee has been an announcer and panel operator at SCA’s 2DayFM in Sydney, as well as digital operations manager and music director for SCA’s DAB+ stations.
He joined NOVA Entertainment’s Star 104.5 in 2020, and has worked as a Workday announcer across both the Morning and Afternoon shifts, as well as music director.
NOVA Entertainment has been asked who will replace McPhee on the Central Coast.
At Nova 96.9 McPhee will be responsible for the programming operational aspects of the station.
The company said his move to Sydney was a great example of its commitment to internal career development. Nova also pointed to McPhee’s extensive regional radio background, as well as the time he created his own radio station as part of a primary school project.
He will report to head of programming, Peter Clay, who said McPhee’s role was a pivotal one.
“Michael has proven his talent during his time with Star 104.5, came highly recommended by Shayne Sinclair, Star 104.5 program director, and is a great example of the opportunity for career development within the business,” he said.
