Mike Byrne appointed WSFM content director
Australian Radio Network has announced the appointment of Mike Byrne as new content director for Sydney’s WSFM.
Byrne jumps across from Southern Cross Austereo where he was most recently the group content director for SCA Newcastle.
He returns to ARN where he previously worked as a program director at Mix 106.5 Sydney and Gold 104.3 Melbourne, having also spent time as a PD at Grant Broadcasters.

Byrne replaces previous content director Scott Muller who helped the station to all-time ratings-records for the station.
“Mike brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience and I’m pleased to be welcoming him back to ARN,” said ARN national CD Duncan Campbell.
“I look forward to working with him as we continue to build on the success of WSFM.”
Byrne has started in his new role as of today (Monday, January 6).
I’m a big fan! Mike’s the perfect guy for the job imho.
It’ll be hard to live up to Scott’s achievements though. Good luck
Another loss for SCA. Good pick up ARN. Duncan strikes again.
