Nic Christensen is moving to SBS in 2022

Nine Entertainment’s Nic Christensen confirmed he will be leaving for SBS to commence his new role as Head of Corporate Communications.

In 2016, Nic joined Nine as the head of digital communications before later becoming head of corporate affairs.

Now setting his sights on SBS, Nic is looking forward to changing his focus.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining SBS, an organisation with a unique Charter and purpose. I am looking forward to working with the amazing storytellers at SBS and in particular amplifying the work that is being done to serve Australia’s multilingual and First Nations communities,” said Nic.

“I’ve loved my time at Nine and am so very grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the past five years.”

Nic will finish up with Nine this month and commence his new role with SBS in March of 2022.

Nine’s director of communications, Victoria Buchan, wishes the best for Nic in his new endeavour.

“We have loved working with Nic and wish him well as he spreads his wings and moves to a new role,” says Victoria.

“We will miss him but the Corporate Affair team here is in great shape and will continue to tell Nine’s story with the same passion and enthusiasm that Nic brought to the business.”
