SCA Melbourne staff in isolation after COVID-19 case

Former Editor & Content Director

Fox 101.9 and Triple M 105.1 Melbourne are broadcasting remotely this week due to a confirmed COVID-19 case within the building.

Staff are currently isolating and undergoing COVID-19 tests, however its broadcasts will continue as normal.

On this morning’s Fifi, Fev & Nick Breakfast show on Fox, co-host Fifi Box noted she was at home, Brendan Fevola was at his beach house and Nick Cody was in a hotel.

“The Fox has finally been affected by COVID-19. We had a positive case in the building at Fox FM…. And now we’re locked out. No one can get in the building. So the radio station is now existing via satellite by all of us in our abodes” she said.

Fevola, meanwhile, noted that all the show’s co-hosts has been in pretty close proximity to the positive case, but thus far had returned negative results. He said he didn’t want to get “political” or “Sam Frost it” – a reference to the Home & Away star who caused controversy over the weekend detailing her “struggles” in society as an unvaccinated person – but noted all three co-hosts were vaccinated and had avoided getting the disease.

The show was anchored by Ellie Angel-Mobbs from the SCA Brisbane studios.

Where does this place Ed with his Sydney show?
He does contribute from the Melb studios – or his home – doesn’t he?
