Coffs Harbour Survey Results; Joel & Tulles #1 at breakfast

Staff Writer

Coffs Harbour radio stations Hit105.5, Triple M 106.3 and 2HC feature in the Region’s first radio survey for the year.

In breakfast, Hit’s Joel and Tulles are the most listened to with 25.1%, that’s a climb of +3.3 since the last survey in Coffs Harbour in May 2016.

Hit105.5 is also the #1 station in the market on 23.6%, with +.3 ahead of SCA-owned Triple M on 23.3%.

The radio industry introduced a new system for regional radio ratings in 2014 which allowed smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost-effective audience measurement.

The latest Coffs Harbour radio research was conducted by Xtra Insights from 22 May – 10 June with a sample size of 800 participants.

“The aim of the surveys is to put the spotlight on live and local radio in regional Australia and highlight how radio can be used effectively to reach people throughout Australia,” said Joan Warner, chief executive officer of industry body Commercial Radio Australia.

Commercial radio stations in Coffs Harbour serve a population of more than 72,000 people aged 10+.

Coffs Harbour is the fifteenth regional survey to be released in 2017 following Albury, Cairns, Mackay, Port Macquarie/Kempsey, Ballarat, Launceston, Emerald, Dubbo, Mandurah, Wheatbelt, Esperance, Kingaroy, Mount Isa and Roma.

The next regional radio surveys will be in Bundaberg and the Sunshine Coast.
Data from all the regional surveys is available to media agencies online through the Frequency Regional Radio ratings analyser tool.
