Nine Radio appoints Paul Burns as EP of 4BC’s Scott Emerson Drive Show

Nine Radio’s 4BC Drive show, helmed by Scott Emerson, has a new executive producer.

Paul Burns has taken on the role after a stint as producer on the 4BC Breakfast show with Neil Breen.

Burns has been with Macquarie Media/ Nine Radio since 2019. Prior to that, he was a journalist with ACE Radio and spent time as a social media manager.

Joining Burns on the show as an associate producer is Luke Cooper.

Cooper previously contracted as a radio producer on a number of 4BC’s local shows and in its newsroom. Before his time in radio, he was the chief of staff of 9 News in Queensland, and spent time working on 9News.com.au, as well as at HuffPost Australia as associate editor.

In the most recent radio ratings, 4BC had a 4.1% share in Drive. This was below the station’s overall share of 7.2%, and the station’s weakest day part, however it was a climb of 0.6 points from Survey 4.
