Following the recent announcement that presenters Chris Bath and Myf Warhurst will depart, ABC Radio Sydney has now unveiled its full 2020 lineup.

With Warhurst not returning in 2020, James Valentine’s Afternoons program extends by an hour (12pm-4pm).

“I’ve had it too easy for too long,” he said. “Two hours a day, I was just getting started.

“Now I’m going to be on pretty much all day. Expect Even Greater Sydney Planning Committee to go global.

“Expect interviews to be longer than Richard Fidler’s. Expect me to try anything that might work.”

As reported by Radio Today, Bath will be replaced in Evenings by Weekend Nightlife host Sarah Macdonald.

“It was a very difficult [decision] to make, but I need to find a job with hours more conducive to having my family recognise me!” Chris said.

“I know the Evenings family will be in great hands with Sarah Macdonald.”

“It’s such a great program already – you can really bring your own style to the show, and the listeners are an engaged bunch,” added Sarah.

“I’ve been listening to the Evenings Quiz for years, so to be able to host it is an honour.”

Key presenters Wendy Harmer & Robbie Buck return to Breakfast, as does Cassie McCullagh on Focus at 10am and Richard Glover on Drive.

“We couldn’t imagine anyone other than Sarah stepping behind the Evenings microphone and know the audience will really enjoy the humour and experience that she’ll bring,” said ABC Sydney local manager Melanie Whitnall.

“I’m excited about the sound of 2020. We have a strong team who are passionate about telling Sydney’s stories in the studio and out in the community.”

The lineup announce follows the news that Lish Fejer will take over Breakfast duties from Dan Bourchier on ABC Radio Canberra Breakfast.
