Ex-RED FM co-hosts Alana McLean & Robbie Klitzing tie the knot

Living up to the strength of their on-air chemistry, former RED FM Breakfast co-hosts Alana McLean and Robbie Klitzing married in Melbourne last weekend.

McLean and Klitzing made national headlines in 2018 when the pair announced that they’d been in a secret romance for nine months, with the co-hosts later sharing news of their engagement and subsequent departure from RED FM back in October of 2019.

The couple was scheduled to marry last August, however, the pandemic led them to reschedule three times, narrowly avoiding Melbourne’s latest lockdown by a few days.

Taking place at Melbourne’s GPO Building, the couple shared their ceremony with a number of colleagues from the radio industry, including McLean’s first co-host Danny Lakey, along with Juelz Jarry, Ryan Jon, Jesse Watkins, Jess Hardy and more.

McLean expressed her gratitude towards her guests for attending the ceremony in light of last year’s persistent cancellations.

“The angels truly were shining on us – the weather was perfect, everyone from WA and interstate was able to make it and it was just the most magical night,” McLean said.

“It really meant so much more than a wedding given the year we’ve all had and being separated from one another. Our hearts are just so full.”

The couple made it back across the border last Monday to celebrate their honeymoon in Broome, falling in love with the location after their many RED FM broadcasts from the Kimberly.

“Can’t believe weddings are banned in Melb this week,” she told Radio Today.

“We seriously snuck that in.”
