Liam Renton and Vanessa Gibson revive Christmas podcast, Christmas Podding
Brisbane radio personalities Liam Renton and Vanessa Gibson have joined forces once more to bring back their Christmas Podding podcast.
It is, somewhat unsurprisingly, a podcast about Christmas.
It will be released weekly and “tackle the fun, awkward and honest side of Christmas”.
The duo said season three of the podcast would cover topics including:
- Who should you spend Christmas with: family or friends?
- Do you have to invite THAT inappropriate uncle to Christmas dinner?
- Should you drop hints to your partner to get the present you want?
- Top tips on not getting caught when regiving presents.
Weekly episodes will come out throughout November and December in the lead up to the big day.
Renton was the assistant content director at ARN’s 97.3 FM in Brisbane, as well as executive producer on its now defunct Bianca, Mike & Bob Breakfast show.
He also lends his voice to Coles Radio, is the operations manager for the Australian Traffic Network in Queensland, and appears on 97.3 FM on weekends on a freelance basis.
Gibson was a marketing coordinator at ABC Radio Brisbane, and now works as a journalist and newsreader at ARN’s 4KQ.
These articles just make me sad about the state of regional radio, once upon a time, a number of stations in Broken Hill, Mt Isa or Bega would have given these guys a go.
Have been following this pod for years now. Surely ARN pick them up to do a nightly Christmas show throughout December – Christmas music, Christmas chat, while people are out looking at Christmas lights with the kids – no brainer!
Most people who know me, know I’m not big on Christmas, this show gives me the hacks required to get through the silly season.
