Dean Clairs becomes Ford & Doonan ambassador

Air-conditioning company Ford & Doonan has signed radio stalwart Dean Clairs as an ambassador.

Earlier this year, Clairs moved across to co-host 96FM Breakfast in Perth with Lisa Shaw as part of The Bunch.

Clairs said he’s thrilled to sign up for the new role.

“Ford & Doonan have proven themselves to be a great organisation for such a long period of time, I didn’t need to think twice about teaming with them,” he said. “As a proud West Aussie, I’m looking forward to getting involved with the entire franchise network.”

Ford & Doonan said it had a long-term vision to ramp up its marketing efforts with a brand ambassador who represented the values of the brand and had a strong connection to Western Australia.

The brand’s marketing manager, Christian Ford, said Clairs aligned well with the brand.

“Dean has been a voice on WA’s radio networks for over 35 years, and is as local as us,” he said. “Dean encompasses so many of our company values, from doing things the right way the first time, to maintaining a consistent image to the public eye. We look forward to working with Dean for many years to come and our entire franchise network are excited for the opportunities this will bring.”

Andrew Ford, managing director of Ford & Doonan Air Conditioning, said the directors are excited to have Clairs as a brand ambassador.

“His personal style, values and professionalism is a great fit with the Ford & Doonan brand,” he said.

Ford & Doonan said the partnership came about thanks to Media Today as well as 96FM’s general manager, Gary Roberts.

Managing director for Media Today, Murray Preston, said it was a match made in heaven.

“Huge congratulations to Dean Clairs and the team at Ford & Doonan regarding Dean’s recent appointment as the Ford & Doonan brand ambassador,” he said. “An absolutely perfect fit. Everyone loves Clairsy – a consumate professional and arguably Perth’s most popular Breakfast radio announcer – together with the team at Ford & Doonan, 35 years as Perth’s favourite and most-trusted name in air-conditioning.”

Good for Dean.. but how and why is this on an industry website? What’s the relevance?

Because …. it’s an industry website… and he… works in the industry?

More importantly, if you thought it was irrelevant/ boring, why did you click on it? Plenty of other interesting things to read, both here and on the world wide web. Don’t waste your time with stuff that bores you, my friend!

Clairsys only fans site got suspended so he’s moved on up to only air conditioners.
