Hamish & Andy return for season two of Remembering Project podcast

Staff Writer

Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have revived their Remembering Project podcast for a second season, which launches today.

Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project is a retrospective look at a random talk break from the duo’s extensive radio career. The journey down memory lane involves Blake and Lee rediscovering bits of some of the 2,500 shows that went to air over their two decades on air.

Episode one brings back an interview with Dannii Minogue who at the time had gotten her hands on an old VHS of Lee performing in his primary school musical.

Future episodes will also delve into the classified information the duo were privy to for their trip to Afghanistan, the secret behind their Gravy Chip, a bizarre rumour about Rod Stewart and Lee’s “sneaky pash” with Lily Allen in a laneway.

“We definitely remembered some moments as being far better than they were, so this podcast has often ended up quite embarrassing [as] opposed to a triumphant look back,” Lee and Blake said in a statement.

Late last year, season one of the podcast entered the Australian Podcast Ranker at #30, and subsequently made it into the top 10.

The podcast is available on Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) LiSTNR platform, with new episodes coming out each Monday until August 23.

The regular Hamish & Andy podcast, which comes out on Thursdays, continues as normal.

In addition to their audio commitments, Blake hosts Lego Masters on Channel 9, while Lee recently took up the hosting position for Channel 10’s The Cube Australia.
