The Hit Network unveils Summer Breakfast lineup

Staff Writer

Grant Denyer and Yvie Jones will host a national summer breakfast show across the Hit Network’s metro stations.

The pair will make their debut on December 9, with Southern Cross Austereo confirming the show will run for two weeks.

Both are well-known to the Hit Network audience. Denyer co-hosted 2Day FM breakfast with Ash London and Ed Kavalee before it was axed in August. And former Gogglebox star Jones also covered Fifi Box’s maternity leave on Fox FM.

Together they will bring a summer breakfast show that is “full of laughs and will make people feel good as they start their day”.

“Grant and Yvie are both much loved members of the Hit Network and we are thrilled to announced they will be on air this December as part of our national summer breakfast line-up,” said head of the Hit Network, Gemma Fordham.

SCA also added that 2Day FM will continue with Music for Breakfast over summer.

Full of laughs and will make people feel good as they start their day”. Poor Grant Denyer after being axed obviously has to work out the rest of his contract doing weekend work. That’s sad.

SCA keep putting B grade TV talent on breakfast. It’s a Radio Network not Television. The network should be run by radio people.

Ian – You are half right.
Yes they are B grade – that at best.

I disagree – TV people can work on radio… They just need to be A grade talent. I think the bigger problem is that no one with that pedigree wants to do it and work for SCA. Personally don’t blame them…

This is so bad. Will give the Hits a bad start for the year, last thing they need.
Big fail for metro, may do ok in entertainment starved markets small like Wagga, Kingaroy, Horsham etc etc

SCA really are moving around the deck chairs on the Titanic. They look like ARN did about 10 years ago. Sad to see.
