Jason Costa reunites with Capital Radio’s 2CA Canberra

Staff Writer

Jason Costa will return to 2CA in 2021 as program director and workday presenter.

Costa, who has more than 30 years experience in the radio business, replaces Marc McCreadie who has been in the dual role for five years.

“I’m super excited to be returning to the Capital Radio Network and being part of a great team of radio professionals,” he said in a statement.

Costa started his radio career at 3YB Warrnambool in 1990 as nights announcer, moving to 2CA in 1994 before taking on the role of music director in 1996.

He elevated to group program director of the network in 1998 and remained in the role until 2003.

2CA’s general manager, Michael Jones, said it’s a pleasure to have Costa return and “to guide the station’s programming through this exciting and innovative period”.

“With 2CA broadcasting from its state-of-the-art studios, the growth in DAB listening as well as listening through streaming and smart speaker platforms, the station is well-positioned for the next phase in its long history in the Canberra region,” Jones said in a statement.

Costa starts on January 11 and will present the 9am to 2pm shift on weekdays.
