Justin Coombes-Pearce joins Triple M Central Coast as Workday announcer

Former Editor & Content Director

The Central Coast’s 107.7 Triple M has a new Workday announcer and operations assistant, with Justin Coombes-Pearce joining the team from next week.

Coombes-Pearce has most recently been a presenter at Wollongong’s i98FM. At i98FM he was also previously the Breakfast producer on the Marty & Bianca Breakfast Show with Bianca Dye and Marty Haynes.

He’s also spent time as an announcer at ARN’s GOLD 104.3, and as a program director and group content director at various regional radio networks.

Coombes-Pearce said he grew up listening to the network and can’t wait to be able to announce INXS on Triple M.

“I am absolutely stoked to join the Triple M family and to be able to do it on the Central Coast is a double win for me – what an amazing place to live,” he added.

SCA Central Coast’s content director, James Speed, said Coombes-Pearce would make a real impact on the station.

“Justin is going to hit the ground running on the Coast,” he said. “Having worked in several coastal markets, he knows our way of life and he knows how to capture the passion and the pride of the people who live in one of the best places on Earth.

“Justin comes with many years of experience working on-air in some of the biggest markets in Australia. I can’t wait to give him the keys to the studio and then sit back and watch him do his thing.”

Coombes-Pearce is married to former i98 Breakfast co-host Christie Hayes.

Hayes departed the program last year to spend more time with her family.

The couple have since launched a podcast with Acast, Talk Thirty To Me, which aims to host open conversations about turning 30.

Coombes-Pearce’s first shift kicks off at 12pm on Tuesday, 21 September.

Wishing Justin all the best for the future in this new role.
As a tech I worked with him on many occasions and can say that as well as an excellent announcer, his ability and desire to understand and work with the technical team was also invaluable.
Good luck mate.
