Peter Psaltis returns to 4BC to host Wide World of Sports

Staff Writer

Brisbane’s 4BC will soon have its own localised version of Wide World of Sports, hosted by rugby league commentator and sports broadcaster, Peter Psaltis.

The appointment marks a further integration of Nine’s television and radio brands, with WWOS starting life as a weekly television program in the 1980s.

Now WWOS is a multi-platform offering from Nine, including a radio program in Sydney hosted by Mark Levy.

In Brisbane, the program will be hosted by Psaltis, who previously spent 17 years with 4BC. He departed in 2014 to join RadioTAB.

Psaltis will also cover sport on Neil Breen’s breakfast show and Scott Emerson’s drive program.

4BC’s content manager, Max Dudley, welcomed Psaltis back to the fold.

“Peter is a much-loved son of 4BC and his passion for Queensland sport and rugby league makes him the perfect choice to launch our new Wide World of Sports show,” he said.

Psaltis will start broadcasting on 4BC from October 12.
