Mark & Caroline are #1 on Breakfast

EON Broadcasting continues to exert its influence over the Sunshine Coast, particularly via the dominant MIX FM.

MIX is the top-rating station in the region, with 18.4% (+0.9) of those surveyed by Xtra Insights saying that it was the station they listened to most (People 10+).

Grant Broadcasters’ Hot91 came in third place overall, rising +3.0 to 12.8%, as triple j grabbed second spot on 13.9% (+1.9).

“It’s fantastic to be involved with a team that embrace their stations growth strategy and execute brilliant content every day. I am so excited the Sunshine coast audience recognise the effort the whole team put into making the great local radio”, said EON group CD Rod Brice.

“We’re thrilled with today’s result being officially recognised as the Sunshine Coast’s #2 radio station,” added Hot 91 GM David Graham.

MIX’s Breakfast show was also listened to most in that daypart, with Mark & Caroline having 17.6% (+1.3) of the audience.

Ben & Liam on triple j moved into second, with 13.9% (+1.9), ahead of Hot91’s Dave, Sam & Ash in third (12.8%).

The latest Sunshine Coast survey was conducted between July 22 and August 10, 2019.

It’s the first survey in the region since August 2017.

Mix’s afternoon and drive figures are impressive 21.8/19.3 respectively.
Good wins for local content.
Well done to all involved.
A lesson for the ENTIRE radio industry.

Gosh what happened to sea! Feeling the sting of Jess Eva’s departure to Triple M Sydney by the looks.

Big drop for SeaFM Breaky? No.4? Looks like the audience went to hot91 after Jess Eva’s departure. Good on Triple M for nabbing her.

Congratulations to the local teams at Mix FM & Hot 91.

Their breakfast/wider teams have slogged it out & deserve this result.

‘Interesting’ numbers for Sea FM – perhaps a fall out from Jess leaving to Triple M?
