Ryan Jon & Lauren Phillips confirmed for summer brekkie on KIIS Melbourne

Australian Radio Network (ARN) has confirmed what Jase & PJ accidentally leaked last week, revealing that Ryan Jon and Lauren Phillips will host Summer Breakfast on KIIS Melbourne.

Summer Breakfast will launch on December 7 and run until December 18.

ARN said in a statement that the show will be “packed with fun celebrity gossip” and that listeners will have the chance to win a $10,000 Christmas present.

Jon is no stranger to Breakfast radio. He previously co-hosted brekkie on Southern Cross Austereo-owned Hit stations in both Canberra and Perth markets.

“What an awesome way to end an average year,” he said. “Doing the Summer Breakfast show while Jase & PJ take a break is the best Christmas present I could have hoped for – here we go.”

Phillips, who currently presents the weather on Weekend Today for Channel 9, said she is looking forward to some warmer Melbourne weeks behind the KIIS microphone.

“I couldn’t be more excited to come back to Melbourne and join the KIIS 101.1 team for the summer breakfast show,” she said in a statement. “Summer in Melbourne is my favourite time of the year and I can’t wait to have lots of laughs with our listeners.”

Jon and Phillips will be up against Ben & Liam.

NOVA Entertainment last week revealed that Nova Adelaide’s Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton will take their brekkie show nationwide across the summer months.

SCA is yet to announce its summer lineups for Hit and Triple M.
