LiSTNR launches Sliding Doors With Elle Ferguson podcast
Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) LiSTNR platform has launched a new podcast title, hosted by influencer, businesswoman and entrepreneur, Elle Ferguson.
Sliding Doors With Elle Ferguson will play host to conversations with influential people from the fashion and beauty industries, exploring their ‘sliding-door moment’, when they took a risk or leap of faith.
The podcast comes out tomorrow and upcoming episodes will feature celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, Australian designer Paul Vasileff and Marie Claire Australia’s founding editor Jackie Frank.
The guests will share how they deal with imposter syndrome, fear of failure and consistent rejection, as well as revealing who their biggest supporter has been and the advice they wish they’d been given long ago.
Head of content for LiSTNR original podcasts, Jen Goggin, said it was a must listen for anyone who dreams of working at the highest levels in fashion and beauty.
“Elle’s incredible career in fashion, beauty and business has given her the credibility and contact lists to engage with global superstars in the fashion, media and beauty world,” she said.
“Her charismatic and warm personality is perfect for the medium of podcasting and has meant that her podcast episodes are always full of exclusives and valuable advice from her guests.”
Ferguson added that podcasting was the perfect medium to tell these stories.
“Throughout my career in fashion and beauty, I’ve been lucky enough to meet the amazing people behind the world’s biggest fashion brands and celebrities’ most iconic looks. Every time I met one of these people, they shared their incredible journey to success with me. All of which seemed to start with one sliding door moment, a moment where they decided to go it alone and make a passion their profession,” she said.
“I found these stories so personal and inspirational; I knew a podcast was the only medium I could use to give these stories the time and space they deserved to share them with those out there who are desperately looking for a sign to take the leap and start a new career.”
