Who are the Top 40 Most Influential People in Australian Radio in 2019? You’re about to find out…

Staff Writer

Radio Today is preparing to unveil another of our infamous lists.

Next week we will hit publish on The Top 40 Most Influential People in Australian Radio in 2019 – our biggest list of the year since the trade site’s inception in 2011.

This year’s ranking will feature the women and men who help shape the fortunes and sound of Australian radio and wield considerable influence within their own networks and the industry.

You won’t see on-air talent or spot the suits of the sales side of the business this year.

The 2019 edition focuses on key power players who have influenced the business of content.

Over 15 executives on last year’s list don’t appear, with a number of new executives taking their spots.

Several factors came into account as Radio Today compiled the list during May and June, including market size, revenue, profitability, format competitiveness, commercial wins and the reported reach of each station and network.

An individual’s longevity and historical ratings success were also heavily weighted.

Above all, we let the word “influence” guide the process.

Stay tuned for the big reveal next week on Radio Today.

I hope this is not as biased towards SCA as these usually are. They are the number 3 network in all kpi’s so that should be reflected here.
